This blog was started on 01 Aug '06, when some ex-students (ecommerce) asked me about how to make money from blogging. So everyday, I will set aside some time from my business to consolidate and create articles.

Will there be any loss to the visitors that click your ads?
The answer is No. Every click is payable by the providers (e.g. Google, ClickSor) which charges advertisers for a fee to place their products or services via them at your blog.
In another word, the money you receive is in fact from the advertisers and these providers are just middleman that faciliate the service.
So do I click any ads when I am visiting others' blogs?
Why not? If it is something that interests you, a recommended product or services that you find value add, just click it.
The visitors get values from the links, the bloggers get to earn some coins or dollars, the ad providers make a cut also and the advertisers get to have a new potential customer too. Everyone wins! :)

Ok you have selected your service provider, now the next thing to do is to decide the followings:
Username and password
Enter your preferred user name enter your password.
Name your blog
A title for your blog and also the blog address that you want. For example, here in howtoblogformoney.blogspot.com this is the blog address.
Choose a template
Go ahead and select whatever design you fancy but keep in mind that it should go with the content that you are going to blog about. You can always come back to change to some other default provided by Blogger, create your own or simply download from those free templates available on the net. (This blog template was provided by freetemplates.blogspot.com too.) After everything is done, explore around your blog a bit and in your mind start planning if there are anything that you like to customise.
Search for the button (see image below) it should be located somewhere on the bottom right or left depending on the template you chosen and click it once. You are going to use this button a lot.
Once you are in, follow these steps first:
- click 'change settings'
- click 'template' you will see some codes and texts within a box underneath.
Open up any notepad, select all the texts in the box copy and paste to a new note and save.
Why is this important?
Reason being if you accidentially remove or edited the wrong codes you can still get the original ones back easily. Try to put this into practise whenever you edit the codes in templates.
Tips: I will always edit it on the TextEdit (Mac) and then copy and paste before running a 'Preview' of it.
