This blog was started on 01 Aug '06, when some ex-students (ecommerce) asked me about how to make money from blogging. So everyday, I will set aside some time from my business to consolidate and create articles.

| FAQ |
Will there be any loss to the visitors that click your ads?
The answer is No. Every click is payable by the providers (e.g. Google, ClickSor) which charges advertisers for a fee to place their products or services via them at your blog.
In another word, the money you receive is in fact from the advertisers and these providers are just middleman that faciliate the service.
So do I click any ads when I am visiting others' blogs?
Why not? If it is something that interests you, a recommended product or services that you find value add, just click it.
The visitors get values from the links, the bloggers get to earn some coins or dollars, the ad providers make a cut also and the advertisers get to have a new potential customer too. Everyone wins! :)

When you first registered to have your blog, Blogger.com presented several designers' templates for you to select from. (as seen on the left image) You can always start off a simple one which most likely many others are also using. In another words, may not be as unique as you like.
The next best thing to do is to customize one for yourself building it up from scratch OR you can just get it off from others that are offering it for free (but do remember to credit back to them too).
The template that I am using for this blog is from freetemplates.blogspot.com, it is in fact a combination of 2 different template designs that I put them together. Scroll down the page and you will see a button 'Free Templates'.
Before you choose the template Ask yourself these questions first before attempting to change your original blog template. What is the objective of your blog? Personal, commercial, somewhere in between? Choose one that strikes a balance between what you want and weigh it against the message you are trying to provide to your readers too.
If it is a personal ones, let your styles lead you but if it is a more commercial ones, perhaps tone down on the loud colors and background music.
As follows are a list of links that I personally like to recommend for any bloggers to drop by. They have the nicest, most creative blog templates to select from.

The first and foremost is of cos freetemplates.blogspot.com, browse the many pretty templates (one of the design shown on the left) there and follow the instructions on how to replace your exisiting ones. Go on, click the image :)

Another one that you must take a look that provides a wide selection of images, graphics and all provided for free from designers all over the world. Blogskins.com.

Another blogspot site that provides free templates for everyone to download, blogger-templates.blogspot.com. This is a site that I always visit too, drop by for its simple and easy to understand 'Hacks and Tips'.

blogtemplates.noipo.org provides both Graphical and Text based template, nicely done up for many of the templates. Some are simply plain but with a very classy look.

This site provides very funky looking templates! PageKits are entire web site templates, with all the code and graphics you need to get started with a great page.

At first look, thur's template may look 'boxy' in its design but trust me, it provides a lot of free play with many available boxes for you to customize.
Lastly, if you are not strong in the HTML department you can try this one product here, Blog Template Designs where this program allows you to create your own professional, custom, adsense earning blog template in a very very short time.
Pay for it and have your own blog up in minutes. |
