FAQ
Will there be any loss to the visitors that click your ads?
The answer is No. Every click is payable by the providers (e.g. Google, ClickSor) which charges advertisers for a fee to place their products or services via them at your blog.

In another word, the money you receive is in fact from the advertisers and these providers are just middleman that faciliate the service.

So do I click any ads when I am visiting others' blogs?
Why not? If it is something that interests you, a recommended product or services that you find value add, just click it.

The visitors get values from the links, the bloggers get to earn some coins or dollars, the ad providers make a cut also and the advertisers get to have a new potential customer too. Everyone wins! :)

Article: Who really earns?
Tuesday, October 10, 2006
Recently in one of the ecommerce classes, some students and I had a lively discussions about who really are earning from all these internet marketing?

The publishers or the so-called 'Internet Marketing Gurus' themselves?

The general belief is that it is the IMG (Internet Market Gurus) that been touting on the many seminars and trainings that you must attend in order to start earning money. Why? Recently there been a great surge of advertisements both online and offline about how to make tonnes of money from the internet by selling affiliated products, services, from advertisements etc... all simply by attending some preview seminars, conferences where some heavy weighs are flying into singapore.

From the feedbacks, many see these similar to the way some other gurus from other industries pushing to charge others thousands of dollars to learn some secrets, sharing their skills on the 'know-how'. These always raise the same questions over and over again from them and many others students, "So if they are so damn good why do they bother to publish, teach others about how to make more money over seminars and yet charge a high fee? Passions? Genuinely wanna help? Or are they actually using this as a marketing tactic to earn money when in fact their so-called methods dont really entirely work?"

It is interesting to see the reactions of many, with most do not believe in such marketing gimmicks by these so-called self proclaimed IMG themselves.

Also one interesting question raised was, "What were those guys doing in the first place before they jumped into the internet marketing arena?" Are they more in the 'speaker' industry (many are not sure what categories of industries do inspirational speakers belong to) seeing opportunities and jump into it? How come never hear of them before or know of them owning any internet or technology related companies also? And how come only those others IMG themselves kept doing praises about other IMG when they are not known outside their own little world?

Quite harsh words from some of them.

My stand is just open your eyes wide before attending any types of seminars that will promise you 'Get rich, Get fast methods'. Check out what are the topics that the speakers be covering and most importantly see which companies or representatives pushing for it. A bit of background check and you will be able to find out or come to a conclusion yourself.

Amen! At last something sensible being said about these people. Now if Sir Timothy John "Tim" Berners-Lee, the guy who invented the World Wide Web (and the web browser), wanted to do speeches I'm betting what he has to say would actually be worth a few thousand per head.

I believe in always opening the eyes and ears before entering into any agreement to sign up such seminars or classes.

Good to know but always caution about about what is going on too. Some are just out to rip off others with their curiousity.
