This blog was started on 01 Aug '06, when some ex-students (ecommerce) asked me about how to make money from blogging. So everyday, I will set aside some time from my business to consolidate and create articles.

FAQ
Will there be any loss to the visitors that click your ads?
The answer is No. Every click is payable by the providers (e.g. Google, ClickSor) which charges advertisers for a fee to place their products or services via them at your blog.
In another word, the money you receive is in fact from the advertisers and these providers are just middleman that faciliate the service.
So do I click any ads when I am visiting others' blogs?
Why not? If it is something that interests you, a recommended product or services that you find value add, just click it.
The visitors get values from the links, the bloggers get to earn some coins or dollars, the ad providers make a cut also and the advertisers get to have a new potential customer too. Everyone wins! :)

How to get readers to come back for more? - Part 02
Thursday, December 14, 2006
Following Part 01, this is the next part of it on getting your readers to visit your blog more often.
Another method is to start an entry to let discussions take place. For example, if your blog is about movies and you have one good movie coming up in the summer. Build it up with photos, scripts, rumors, video clips and include your personal views why you think you will like it.
Have the movie title display prominently at your blog, add the title into your source code to increase the chance of someone googling it to visit your site. Create as much external links as possible for your readers to read more. Dont worry too much if they will come back to yours after clicking. You cannot stop them as you are fighting for their attentions just like the many other thousands of them in the blogsphere. So might as well create value added contents and links related to your entry.
Some bloggers like to go the extreme creating topics that invite others to comment after reading it. Readers get upset, happy, thrilled after reading it and it leaves an impression (Good or Bad) and they will most likely like to come back for more. We human beings are just that curious. For example, I came across a couple of blogs that talk about how boring their lives are working in a corporate company, doing the same routine stuffs day in day out. Is it boring? Oh yeah! But do I still want to go back? Oh yeah! Cos I want to see how worst it can get and some other links that lead to more boring bloggers. Weird huh?
Or another way you may want to consider is blogging about the daily things that affect a certain community. Example? During the Singapore election held sometime back this year, 2006, there were many bloggers that voice out their views with some being very extreme and it caught the attention of some readers. Words of mouth just go on and on. Another is where your contents are very different from others and somehow you create a need to visit it everyday, automatically. RudeSingaporeans is one of them that I love to visit everyday just to check out the latest entries.
