FAQ
Will there be any loss to the visitors that click your ads?
The answer is No. Every click is payable by the providers (e.g. Google, ClickSor) which charges advertisers for a fee to place their products or services via them at your blog.
In another word, the money you receive is in fact from the advertisers and these providers are just middleman that faciliate the service.
So do I click any ads when I am visiting others' blogs?
Why not? If it is something that interests you, a recommended product or services that you find value add, just click it.
The visitors get values from the links, the bloggers get to earn some coins or dollars, the ad providers make a cut also and the advertisers get to have a new potential customer too. Everyone wins! :)

What is Social Media?
Saturday, January 13, 2007
It is getting more common to see the terms 'Social Media' being used in the media, and companies are jumping onto it too hoping to cash on this wave. Do you know what is Social Media?
What is Social Media? From Wikipedia - Social media describes the online tools and platforms that people use to share opinions, insights, experiences, and perspectives with each other. Social media can take many different forms, including text, images, audio, and video. Popular social mediums include blogs, message boards, podcasts, wikis, and vlogs. Confused?
Just think of it as an online place, where anyone everyone can share their views on themselves and on others. Or as some put it, just another terms to sum up all the other popular stuffs on the net.
From Wikipedia Examples of social media ------------------ Take a look at this article from East Bay Business Times 'Is social media the next online wave?
"To help its readers save time, The New York Times Co. is implementing new technology that enables its Web site users to control the news and information they view. To boost its communication channels with the outside world, Sun Microsystems Inc. lets its employees maintain Web journals, called blogs, that are open to public view on the company's Web site"...more ------------------ and even BBC plans to join social networking Web site bandwagon too.
"The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) plans to develop its online presence by providing social networking sites based on its most popular brands such as Top Gear, a BBC spokeswoman, quoted by a Reuters report, said"....more ------------------
Many companies now are beginning to see the vast potential of creating a platform for social media enthusiasts to interact with each others. Some are faster, some are slower but in general it is exploding as we speak and some very smart people are looking into integrating all these together to generate profits.
Companies are attempting and they will keep trying and trying till they hit it a good one with members joining in in flocks to generate discussion on subjects of mutual interests, creating rich but not necessary meaningful conversations so that members will want to keep coming back for more. It is creating the demand to meet the supply.
Just look at YouTube, MySpace, everyone wants to read what everyone is posting and to get everyone to read what they are writing or posting too and in turns response to it. Kinda like a big round circle and with the companies earning inbetween from advertisements, royalties, sales of products etc.
So for an individual like ourselves, what can you do to benefits from all these? Well, you and I run our blogs to make some small cash here and there, so without the need to put in tonnes of money (which most of us wont have here .. you dont see a millionaire starting a blog to earn money right? Or maybe .. well). Just imagine, if your blog or your nick is commonly seen in these hotspots; forums, portals, media, discussions, blogs etc ... you can be very sure that you are going to drive traffic to your blog and widen up the exposure to sell stuffs, click ads etc.
