FAQ
Will there be any loss to the visitors that click your ads?
The answer is No. Every click is payable by the providers (e.g. Google, ClickSor) which charges advertisers for a fee to place their products or services via them at your blog.

In another word, the money you receive is in fact from the advertisers and these providers are just middleman that faciliate the service.

So do I click any ads when I am visiting others' blogs?
Why not? If it is something that interests you, a recommended product or services that you find value add, just click it.

The visitors get values from the links, the bloggers get to earn some coins or dollars, the ad providers make a cut also and the advertisers get to have a new potential customer too. Everyone wins! :)

Words of Mouth
Wednesday, February 21, 2007
Apparently SlashMySearch.com was down for the past few days with no access to the domain at all. Several members posted on the net asking if they been ripped off by the site with money stuck with them. :)

Well, it is already up and everything seems to be back to normal. Some sites mentioned that it may be the high numbers of members signing up that the servers wouldnt cope. Others also said it is pulling a fast one getting the money and run away.

One thing for sure, nothing beats words of mouth spreading good or bad news across the internet. Someone can just start a fire and very quickly is spread like an australia forest fire with no sight of stopping at all.

The same goes to bloggers that endorse good products or services offer by others. If you provided a good customer service to a customer, she loves it and may just become a walking advertisement for you telling others about it.

But if you stepped on her tail unreasonably, mind you there may be some damages to your reputations and may just turn the whole thing into a mob mentality hurling against you.

Maybe as a blogger trying to run a website selling or promoting products to make a dime out from your readers, you may like to take a step back and see if you are sending out the right signals; if the presentations of the information is sufficient, clear enough, no misleading infor, able to answer back questions posted by potential customers etc. Treat others the way you want to be treated and you be safe.

To encourage Words of mouth;
if any of your products are purchased try to follow up asap preferably within 6-12 hours after the sales is closed. Drop a thank you note, invite them to give you feedbacks, be personal (but not faking it please). Or if there is any problem in the purchase, honor your words and make sure that the customer is able to get what she originally want to get. And not some replacements with a half-hearted apology hoping she will go away and dont bother you. Dont do that.

Be responsible in the advertisements that you are going to place at your blog. Dont go turning back and say you are not aware of whatever are being placed at your site. If not sure, dont sign up any providers just to earn that few cents, it may just wipe you up of your reputations.
