This blog was started on 01 Aug '06, when some ex-students (ecommerce) asked me about how to make money from blogging. So everyday, I will set aside some time from my business to consolidate and create articles.

| FAQ |
Will there be any loss to the visitors that click your ads?
The answer is No. Every click is payable by the providers (e.g. Google, ClickSor) which charges advertisers for a fee to place their products or services via them at your blog.
In another word, the money you receive is in fact from the advertisers and these providers are just middleman that faciliate the service.
So do I click any ads when I am visiting others' blogs?
Why not? If it is something that interests you, a recommended product or services that you find value add, just click it.
The visitors get values from the links, the bloggers get to earn some coins or dollars, the ad providers make a cut also and the advertisers get to have a new potential customer too. Everyone wins! :)

Exchange Links?

| Cash upfront or cash buildup? |

This is a common question that my students always like to ask me ... better to have a cash payment for blog advertisement or to let it build up (through pay per click) and then get a lump sum later?
I always reply with a question 'do you prefer to get a monthly salary for the work done or the total sum only end of the year?'
For payperclick, it is accumulated over time when potential buyers click those advertisements .. then perhaps when the amount hits a certain figure you be paid by a cheque.
But for those more direct, hassle free ones ... you get paid immediately when you place a banner for like 30 days at your blog. Short and sweet.
There are Pros and Cons but just remember, study your own blog first and yourself what type of values can you also give back too. Look for long term not just hit and run with a one time advertisement campaign. Also measure how much effort is needed too. If just by placing a simple HTML codes on your 'not-many-people' visit blog, how can you expect to earn a lot from payperclick too?
Do your own homework and create values before even thinking about why others are not supporting you with their advertising dollars :)
